The Te Maeva Nui celebrations are a famous, traditional dance festival.

• on this page you see a dancegroup representing the island of Manihiki

kapa rima is a dance that focusses on arm and hand gestures

• it takes place annualy approximately from 22 July until 4 August

• it happens at the National Auditorium in Avarua on Rarotonga

• 14 Cook Islands dance groups participated in the year 2005
